ANGELICA TCHERASSI

Based in Barcelona, with a background in Architecture and Design. Angelica´s work explores art as a tool for human consciousness—a visual language that translates inner states into color, form, and space. Having won a Cum Laden in Composition at the UIC University in Barcelona is a recognition of her unique view, comprehension and style. Her use of colors and forms engage with the observer while opening a door into AT's an unshakeable joie de vivre. Mondrian, Matisse, Rothko and especially Josep Albers are some of the famous artists that have inspired AT's curiosity to experiment a same piece in different colors or forms.​ Guided by the belief that perception is energetic, Angelica approaches creation as an act of alignment: a way to return to presence, to soften the mind, and to expand the inner field and essence. In her practice, color is not random, it is frequency. Through chromatic relationships, scale, and geometry, she investigates how a piece can shift mood, elevate energy, and invite a quieter form of seeing and interacting within you.

Her work is organized through thematic worlds she calls PORTALS—distinct pathways of attention that shape how she perceives reality and how each series is built. These portals: Objects, Concepts, Architecture/Space, and Patterns offer different entrances into her whimsical universes, where abstraction becomes both mirror and anchor: something to live with, return to, and, if desired, use as a contemplative tool.

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, Angelica’s early environment left a lasting imprint: a bold relationship with color, a joyful spirit, and a trust in reinvention. Barcelona later became her home, where she completed her studies and developed a practice that bridges spatial thinking with a deeply intuitive sensibility.​ Alongside her studio practice in 2008, Angelica has participated in design and creative projects internationally. Her first product design collection launched during Barcelona Design Week (2013), and her Artwork has been featured in a range of publications across design and culture.
